- The mix of lights and flowers
- Flower Park Christmas
- New Year’s illumination
Over four million lights are used to create the stunning displays
The nighttime illumination is open from 4:30-9:00 p.m. starting in late October until early February
The biggest wisteria in the park spreads its vines over 1,000 square meters
Each illumination tells a story
Everyone can come together and appreciate a cool light show. What makes Ashikaga Flower Fantasy stand out is its incredible use of the entire park space. The show covers the whole hillside, with a mural depicting the four seasons of Japan, and letting the reflection off the water enhance the experience.
Fascinating visitors with floral lights throughout winter
The Light and Flower Collaboration starts things off, running until mid-November. This show gives visitors the chance to see the colors of flowers without any help from the sun. The Christmas Fantasy brings a touch of holiday flair to east Japan for a month, starting in late November. Beginning on New Year’s Day, the peonies of the New Year Illumination are in full bloom and ready to be viewed.
Throughout the grounds are tunnels of light, gazebos, trains, and a whole lot of other surprises at the flower park. Of course, during the day, while the lights may be off, the flower park is a beautiful, if more traditional experience. The wisteria area is immense, hailing itself as the most beautiful great wisteria in the world.
