The 2018 Omega Dubai Desert Classic, won by China’s Haotong Li, was the 29th edition of the event and true to its name, the Major of the Middle East, it saw some of the world’s top golfers compete on the iconic Majlis Course at Emirates Golf Club. Built in 1988 the Majlis Course was the first grass course to be developed in the Region and hosted the first European Tour event ever played in the Middle East.
From the unforgettable legends such as the late Seve Ballesteros, Fred Couples, Ernie Els, Colm Montgomerie, Mark O’Meara and Miguel Angel Jimenez through to the remarkable talents of today Tiger Woods, Henrik Stenson, Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia, the event has been honoured with the world’s greatest players’ to be titled ODDC Champions’.
The ‘Dallah’ trophy, meaning coffee pot in Arabic, is a symbol of the tournament and represents the traits our Champions have gone through and many more strive to achieve to lift the trophy in victory. It was MADE FOR GREATNESS.
