Celebrated since 2013, the Syunik Goods Festival celebrates the food and craftsmanship of Syunik marz (region). Along the Silk Road where vodka and silk production were highly developed, the festival gathers together crafts and food from the province in Karahunj village. The focus of the festival is mulberry vodka from Karahunj. The festival begins with mulberry gathering and includes the full process of vodka-making and tasting, followed by tasting traditional dishes accompanied with Armenian song and dance and a market of locally-made and grown products.
Local communities introduce products, traditional dishes, and rural goods: sibekh (a type of spinach), ghavurma (a traditional dish), buttermilk (tan), and more.
