About Glastonbury
Held on Worthy Farm in Somerset, Glastonbury is the largest greenfield music and performing-arts festival in the world, a temporary city of around 200,000 people that appears for five days each June and then vanishes back into dairy pasture. Beyond the Pyramid Stage headliners it sprawls into theatre, circus, cabaret, the healing fields and the surreal after-dark worlds of Shangri-La and Block9, where the night has no real end. Getting a ticket is its own famous ordeal — they sell out in minutes, months before the line-up is announced. Come ready for glorious sun or biblical mud; both are part of the legend, and neither dents the spirit.
“No festival captures lightning like Glastonbury. Go once and you will spend years trying to get back.”
