About Sziget
Sziget takes over a leafy island in the Danube in the heart of Budapest for a week each August, earning its nickname as the 'Island of Freedom'. It is one of Europe's biggest festivals, blending a huge music line-up with theatre, circus, art and a genuinely international crowd that camps on-site for the duration. The setting β a whole island turned into a self-contained city of stages, beaches and hammocks β gives it a uniquely relaxed, inclusive feel. Budapest itself, one of Europe's most beautiful capitals, is right on the doorstep.
“An entire island turned festival β relaxed, international and impossible not to love.”
