About St Patrick's Day
St Patrick's Day on 17 March honours Ireland's patron saint and has become a global celebration of Irish culture, but Dublin does it best with a multi-day festival of parades, street performance, music and, inevitably, a great deal of Guinness. The city turns green, the pubs overflow with trad music, and the atmosphere is warm and inclusive. It is a genuine cultural festival wrapped around the famous party. Book a room early and pace yourself — the craic lasts well beyond a single day.
“The global Irish party done properly, in the city that means it. The craic is real.”
